Hybrid Development was approached by architects and life partners Kailin Gregga and Steven Lazen to help them fulfill their dream of living in a custom home of their own. Knowing the price-point of a custom stand alone single family home in Seattle was out of their reach they turned their attention to multifamily building sites as a cost effective alterative. After locating a Lowrise site with a dilapidated house on it, Hybrid Development purchased the site and began the permitting process with Hybrid Architecture & Best Practice (Kailin’s Firm). Hybrid Assembly acted as the general contractor and built the units.

The end result was were 3 townhomes each with flex spaces on the ground level. The new owners now use the flex spaces as airbnb’s and home offices. The front unit was Kailin and Steven’s custom home and the two remaining units Hybrid Development sold as speculative developments. Both units were pre-sold through friends and neighbors.
